What equipment do I need to start?

GI lessons - Normally a GI (kimono), is worn during lessons, using a rash guard or t-shirt underneath.

Don’t worry, if you are only starting, come along in normal sports clothes, make sure they’re comfortable. We understand not everyone wants to invest in a uniform before trying BJJ out and we will work around that during your trial week.

NOGI - A rash guard and shorts are worn - if you don’t have one yet again a t-shirt and shorts will do.

Please bring some water, as well a mouthguard is also recommended for sparring.

Please ensure nails are trimmed and no jewellery is worn.

Flip flops for walking around the gym.
